Claudia recently set up this non-profit organisation campaigning for social and political equality in education, especially for those in the LGBTQ community and those who are “just different”. One way in which GRIN Campaign is trying to raise awareness is through a photographic campaign known as RESPECT. The idea is to build websites and viral distribution on the net of photographs showing people in front of a white backdrop wearing colourful clothing with “RESPECT” painted on their face in the colours of the gay pride flag. Each RESPECT photo is displayed on the campaigns website, as well as Facebook and Flicker. Every face added to the RESPECT campaign shows another person who supports educational equality and is prepared to stand up and be counted in the fight against discrimination. GRIN Campaign held its first public photo-shoot in Brighton last week. This was on Thursday 6 th January in the Noblesse Room of the Thistle Hotel in Brighton, donated by the hotel for the campaign. In the last month GRIN Campaign has gained much media attention in both the US and the UK.
